A great day of shooting for a great cause. Dimmitt Automotive Group was proud to sponsor the 2019 Sheriff Chad Chronister’s Sporting Clays Shootout, an event organized by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. The HCSO, led by Sheriff Chad Chronister, donated all proceeds from the event to two admirable charities: The Children’s Cancer Center and the USO.
The Children’s Cancer Center: A support for families
A child’s diagnosis of cancer or a chronic blood disease can leave a family reeling and unsure of where to turn for support. The Children’s Cancer Center is a non-profit organization formed to serve families of children diagnosed with cancer or chronic blood disorders. The organization currently has over 24 programs and services to provide aid in every step of the family’s difficult journey.
The Children’s Cancer Center was founded in 1974 with the philosophy that when a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, so too is the family. The organization maintains a broad range of support programs including bereavement counselling and support to financial aid for those struggling to make ends meet in the wake of their child’s diagnosis.
