On Friday, November 8, 2019, Dimmitt employees headed to the docks for a Community Values Day. The day included partnering with AMIkids for a lesson on the Tampa Bay ecosystem aboard a 65 ft. research vessel. The floating lesson provided an opportunity for volunteers to work alongside the children as they learned more about our local environment.
“AMIkids is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping youth develop into responsible and productive citizens. AMIkids’ mission is to protect public safety and positively impact as many youth as possible through the efforts of a diverse and innovative staff. AMIkids works in partnership with youth agencies, local communities and families.” You can learn more about AMIkids on their website.

The day focused on both fun and education. Kids were able to collect samples of marine life, look at the findings under a microscope, and heard an overall explanation of the Tampa Bay ecosystem. The Dimmitt Automotive Group is honored to work with AMIkids and is proud to support an organization that positively impacts both children and our community.
