Each year, the Salvation Army hosts a golf tournament to raise funds for their various programs. And each year, golfers participate in a friendly competition in the name of charity.
This year, Dimmitt Automotive was a proud sponsor of the Kettle Klassic.
The weather may have played a bit of an April Fool’s joke on the golfers, but these participants’ spirits weren’t about to dampen from a few sprinkles. Excitement and camaraderie were high as folks gathered to enjoy the Florida spring day. And with good reason.
An Incredible Success
The Kettle Klassic was a complete success. The Salvation Army managed to raise almost $250,000. That money goes to fund programs for the community, both locally and at large. Programs that help natural disasters, cure hunger, provide shelter, fight human trafficking, and serve veterans. Salvation Army has become a household name representing the drive to do the most good, to encourage people to come together and support the most vulnerable members of society.
Doing the Most Good
An army of volunteers, The Salvation Army relies on funding from donations and events like the Kettle Klassic to support the programs that make the organization great.
Thank you to our golfers, to all attendees, to volunteers from the Salvation Army, and to everyone who came together to make the 2019 Kettle Klassic such a success. You strengthen our community, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store next year!
